NYPD Officer Michael Pascale was on duty one cold day after Christmas when he found a dog chained outside to a fence in the rain.
The poor pup sat shivering in the freezing cold rain bracing himself against the strong winds. Michael knew right then and there that he couldn’t leave the dog behind.
Officer Pascale immediately took the dog home to give him all the love and care he so desperately needed.
He took the initiative to help a neglected dog that someone had abandoned without care, and the two became inseparable best friends. 🙂
Michael used the situation to start speaking up for dogs like Joey who are neglected and abused.
Pets should never be left out in cold weather to fend for themselves, and he wants everyone to know it.
The officer is hoping Joey’s story brings about change with the way some people treat dogs.
