The Lynx is one of the four species of short-tailed cats that belong to the family called Felidae. They are found in the forests of Europe, Asia, and Northern America. The Lynx are long-legged, large-pawed cats with hairy ears, feathery soles, and a broad, short head. Its coat, which forms a bushy ruff on the neck, is tawny to beige in color and somewhat spotted with brown and black, the tip of its tail and ear tufts are black in color. In winter the fur is dense and smooth, with hairs up to 10 cm. They are usually very silent and considered as nocturnal animals except during their mating season.
Recently, a woman named Allison Burton was residing at her home whilst she suddenly saw a furry animal strolling down the streets, she first thought it was a huge dog but initially, she realized it was a lynx.
“I have never seen one in real life, ever,” Allison said. “I was so excited and in awe just to see this beautiful creature walking so close.”
She ran straight towards the lynx to capture a photograph of such a unique sight and we are glad she did. Surprisingly the lynx didn’t run away or panic but walked gently and slowly through the streets instead. Thus, Allison managed to capture as many pictures as possible. There were other strollers on the streets yet no one was quite amazed by its presence.
“It was just so majestic and happy to be in its own little world, doing its own thing,” Burton said.
In no time, the lynx crammed back into the wild and disappeared to its own habitat. This was indeed such a sight for Alison as she couldn’t believe her eyes. It was such a pleasant surprise indeed!
To conclude and quote Alison’s final words, “Can’t believe this beautiful kitty just walked past my house.”
