We've seen dogs provide rude awakenings to their owners in the past — though we can't always blame them. Sometimes a pup is so excited to start the day that he/she needs to wake everyone in the house. Maybe they're looking for breakfast, or maybe they just want to go outside and run around. Regardless of their motive, it's hard to get angry when you awake to your dog's loving face — that is, if it's free of slobber.
Meet Lexi the Samoyed.
Traditionally, Samoyed dogs are known for their substantial but beautiful appearance. Standing tall between 19 or 23 inches, these dogs are a force of nature. While they might take up space, they are also known for their gentle, adaptable temperament.
Lexi is eager to get a start on her day and go for her morning walk. Dad is still sleeping, and Lexi can't go for a walk without her companion.
What does Lexi do? Seeing that her favorite human is still sleeping, she raises up a paw.
She gently places it down on Tom's chest, not wanting to jerk him from his beauty rest.
Lexi's first move doesn't do much, and Tom turns his head the other way, still snoozed as ever.
Lexi isn't fazed by this at all. She knows just what to do. She goes in for a kiss.
Tom turns his head the other direction...yet again.
Still, nothing? Lexi is starting to sweat. She takes matters into her own hands, and places her paw on Tom's face.
Surely, he'll notice her now.
Alas, Lexi's efforts pay off, and there's a sneak peak of Tom's open eye.
