Kemper is a California based 62-year-old photographer, and her was in Lake Clark National Park when he spotted the cubs holding hands while they watched their mom trying to hunt some dinner. In an interview, Lewis notes: “I was leading a photography tour around Lake Clark in Alaska, earlier this month, when I spotted a female and her two cubs waiting for her to come back with something to eat. I was standing about 20 feet away from the two cubs – bears in the area are used to human presence and do not mind us.”

Although the young ones were impatient for their dinner, the mother came back empty handed, when the photographer went on to say, “The two bears held hands for around 20 seconds. They hoped their mother would bring them some dinner but unfortunately, she came back fishless.” Wildlife experts note that bears have only a 10% success rate in hunting.
